Departed London 30 Aug 1878 on SS Hermione, arriving in Wellington 15 Dec 1878. During the voyage she acted as Matron.

Matron, Wellington College 1879 - 1880

Matron Wellington Hospital 1880 - 1882. At the time of her appointment the hospital was still located in Thorndon.

When the Newtown Hospital opened in June 1881 her role was termed that of Lady Superintendent.

In August 1882 she suffered a stroke whilst travelling on a tram, and was admitted to hospital where she died about three weeks later.
