Capital and Coast Child Abuse and Neglect policy

Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley is committed to the prevention, early identification and effective intervention of child abuse and neglect. 

This policy provides all staff with the framework for identification, assessment and effective response to child abuse and neglect (including actual, suspected or potential abuse or neglect). While variations in actual practice between service areas is expected, all practice relating to the identification, support, risk assessment, management and referral processes for victims of child abuse and neglect and family violence must be consistent with this policy.
