First Year House Officers are allocated to our Districts via The Advance Choice of Employment (ACE) programme. ACE facilitates the application and recruitment process for New Zealand and Australian medical students applying for their first year House Officer positions throughout New Zealand. This means that PGY1 positions are not readily available for eligible candidates outside of the ACE process however we would recommend you sign up for career alerts in case a vacancy becomes available.
By completing an EOI, you are signing yourself up for a short phone interview conducted by one of our friendly Pre-vocational Educational Supervisors. This phone interview will help you with the overall score we give you (should you be matched to our District Hospitals).
