Educated at Dulwich College, University of Durham and St Bart's Hospital, London

House Physician, Royal Infirmary, Bristol and at the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford

Practised in St Alban's, Hertfordshire until 1914

In WW1, was a Captain in the RAMC, awarded the MC

After the war, resumed practice in St Alban's until 1920, when he came to NZ

First registered as a medical practitioner in NZ 5/7/1922

Honorary Physician, Wellington Hospital until 1942.
