Director of Surgery, Hutt Hospital 1977, with a special interest and expertise in breast surgery.  Established a breast surgery service for the Wellington region.

Active within the RACS.  Deputy Chair Court of Examiners for Australia and New Zealand.

Foundation Chairman NZ Association of General Surgeons.  Made a life member of that Association in 2005
