In WW1, worked with the Red Cross in France before joining the RAMC in Egypt

Post-war, settled in Wellington, initially working in general practice

Visiting Honorary Surgeon, Wellington Children's Hospital 1917 - 1923

Visiting Honorary Urologist, Wellington Hospital 1924 - 1936

Postgraduate studies in USA 1927, in USA and Europe in 1930 and again in 1936

Moved to live in South Africa in 1937 where he practised as a Urologist. Retired from practice in 1951
