A new role has been created as part of a 2DHB Executive Leadership Team at Hutt Valley and Capital & Coast DHBs, designed to support greater collaboration and health systems planning across the wider Wellington region.

Rachel Haggerty has been appointed Director, Strategy, Planning and Performance (SPP) across Hutt Valley and Capital & Coast DHBs (2DHB).

This is a new role that has been created as part of a 2DHB Executive Leadership Team (ELT) designed to support greater collaboration and health systems planning across both DHBs as we design our services to achieve better health outcomes for all our communities.

Rachel brings with her a wealth of health sector experience in both leadership, strategy and systems planning including in her most recent role as Director, Strategy, Innovation & Performance at Capital & Coast DHB.  Her appointment will mean even greater potential for both DHBs to make positive change to how we deliver services in this area, says Chief Executive Fionnagh Dougan.

Rachel will bring strong focus on the Strategy, Planning and Performance function, particularly around achieving health equity for Maori, and leading a work programme to assess and introduce new models of care.
