International Nurses Day 2019

This year’s theme for International Nurses Day is ‘Nurses a voice to lead – health for all’.

Throughout May, we celebrated the incredible work nurses and unregulated health care workers do. We received 146 nominations for Certificates of Recognition for nurses, unregulated health care workers and nursing teams from across all services.

Each nomination was celebrated in the nominees’ clinical area, or by arrangement. Nominations for Certificates of Recognition that meet the requirements of the DHB’s Celebrating Our Success awards will be submitted for these awards later in the year.

Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and congratulations to all recipients of International Nurses Day Certificates of Recognition. A full list of recipients can be found here.

The International Nurses Day Professional Development Series focused on topics relevant to nurses.
