Yesterday saw the official opening ceremony of the new Wellington Community Mental Health and Addictions Services location at 113 Adelaide Road in Wellington.

The new location provides a more centralised and modern environment for clients – boasting increased space, improved access, and a comfortable and welcoming setting.

The building brings together services that were previously located in different areas across central Wellington.

Hundreds of people with mental health and addictions needs from across the city visit the services each year for treatment and specialist support and will benefit from the improved location.

“We know that our new location will be more accessible for many of our clients across the city,” said Community Mental Health Operations Manager Jayne Coombe (pictured, with Capital & Coast DHB Interim Chief Executive Dr Ashley Bloomfield).

“We’ve worked very hard to create a space that brings together our Wellington community teams, to provide an accessible hub of support.

“The experience of the people we support is our priority, and we’re proud to provide a modern, safe and welcoming new environment.”

All referrals to the services should continue through Te Haika.
