You may have seen media reports of potential infection of dental patients in the Pukekohe area after being exposed to unsterilised fluids. There is no similar risk to patients of Bee Healthy Regional Dental Service.
The systems used by the Bee Healthy Regional Dental service have been checked. The source of water and air that goes into a patient’s mouth is completely separate from the suction where the waste is disposed. We use filtered water that is bottled and demineralised each day to rinse patients' mouths.
