NORMAN REAY MACKAY

MB CHB (NZ) 1924, MD (NZ) 1930, MRCP (EDIN) 1931, FRACP 1938

 

Reay spent his House Surgeon years at Wellington Hospital in 1924-1925.
He gained postgraduate experience in Edinburgh, London and Vienna.   Whilst in London, Reay was House Physician at the London Hospital for Diseases of the Heart and Lungs, Victoria Park.

He was Assistant Physician, Wellington Hospital 1936 - 1943.  Whilst Charles Burns was away on WW2 service, Reay was acting Physician in Charge, Cardiology Department.
From 1943 - 1960, he was Visiting Senior Physician, Wellington Children's Hospital.
