There are two entrances to this building. The Waiteata Rd entrance is only accessible via a long flight of stairs. The more accessible route is via the entrance at the rear of the Rankie Brown Building. To access the driveway running behind this building you enter gate 3 off Kelburn Parade and turn right when you reach the Student Union Building.

Access from the car park to Reception

Behind the Rankie Brown Building there are two car parks designated for Mobility Parking Permit holders.
They are parallel car parks on the left hand side of the driveway. Users need to note that the driveway is used for delivery vehicles and take care accordingly.
From this driveway there is both steps and a ramp down to the Health Centre. The steps have colour contrast and non slip leading edge markers and a handrail.
The ramp is composed of four zigzags. The first two are concrete, the first of which have 3 concrete bumps bisecting them. The bumps are about 2cm high. The last two zigzags are wooden with a painted non slip surface. Although there is a balustrade the length of the ramp, it is not fitted with a useable handrail.
Where the ramp transitions to the doorstep of the Centre there is a small (less than 2cm) up-stand. The doorway has an old fashioned wooden doorstep of 4-6 cm with small transitional ramps.
