Meet & Greet - Volunteer Services
Kenepuru Community Hospital operates a volunteer service which is run by Wellington Hospitals & Health Foundation. The duties of the volunteers range from Meet & Greet volunteers who are located at the main entrance to help you find your way to services within the hospital.

Cafe Vibe is located on the ground floor of the Ward Block.
Hours: 8.00am – 2.30pm Monday – Friday.
The tea and coffee facilities are available for patients 24 hrs 7 days week.
Poppies Cafe is located in the hospitals main entrance foyer.
Hours: 7.30am-4pm Monday to Friday
Public toilets are located on the main corridor of the clinical services block.
Disabled toilets are located opposite the Radiology/X-Ray unit.
A bus stop is located at the main entrance. For information on public transport options, contact Metlink on 0800 801 700.
ATM Cash Machine
The ATM machine is located on the ground floor of the Ward Block next to the Ground Coffee Shop in the front foyer.
Flowers, gifts, letters and parcels
Flowers, gifts, letters or parcels should be clearly marked with the patient’s name and ward. Flowers are not allowed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

At Kenepuru there is a Quiet Room on first floor between wards 4-5 available to patients, visitors who need a place for reflection, prayer or simply time out. A similar room is available near the Outpatients’ Department on ground floor.
We are available for staff, patients, and their relatives.
We can be contacted by pager through the hospital operator, or ask your nurse to contact us.
We are available for:
- Pastoral visits, counselling, prayer, and communion on request any time from the chaplains.
- Blessings, funerals and weddings too.
- Worship Services every Sunday at 9.30am (includes communion), everybody welcome.
- Ward communions Thursday mornings at your bedside.
- Chaplaincy Assistants visit during the week.
The Chapel is open 8.30am to 4pm weekdays.
Operations Manager, Kenepuru/Kapiti Community
The Operations manager office for Kenepuru/Kapiti is located in the ground floor of the Ward Support block.
Theatres, Anaesthetic, pre-assessment Unit are located on the ground floor of the clinical services block along the main corridor.
If you need to have blood tests, the lab is situated on the ground floor of the clinical services block along the main corridor (opposite Theatres).
