In June 1884, he wrote a letter to the NZ Mail re psychological phenomena.
Correspondence in reply (July 1884) was strongly critical - on the grounds that Doctor Keyworth had
presented no evidence to support his claims. On 1/8/1884 he resigned from his Hospital post, to resume
private practice.
