Private practice in Darlinghurst, Sydney 1896-1897

Private practice in Patea 1897-1902
Practiced in Auckland 1904-1914.
Honorary Surgeon, Auckland Hospital 1906 - 1909.

Sometime after 1914, returned to England, and practiced in Poole, Dorset

The photograph shows Dr Gillon in the uniform of the Wellington Naval Artillery Volunteers, in his capacity as Lieutenant Surgeon
