In 1917, Ward 7 was erected as a second storey ward directly above Ward 4, and the Eye, Ear Nose & Throat Department was built across the ends of Wards 4/7 and Ward 3.   This photo, taken (in around 1929) from behind the hospital looking north-east, shows the Eye Ear Nose & Throat Department.  
The lift tower and connecting corridor to the Children's Hospital was not erected until 1929. Read more
