Enclosed courtyards - "for the promenading of patients"
C Julius Toxward The space between each of the 4 wards was enclosed by the main corridor to the north, and a smaller corridor to the south. There were verandahs on each of the wards looking on to the enclosed space which contained a garden and a central fountain and goldfish pond. Enclosed courtyards - "for the promenading of patients"

The space between each of the 4 wards was enclosed by the main corridor to the north, and a smaller corridor to the south.

There were verandahs on each of the wards looking on to the enclosed space which contained a garden and a central fountain and goldfish pond.
