More demolition
Wards 14 and 15 (originally Wards 5 and 6) were next to be demolished. This photograph was taken in October, 1973. It took just 3 days to demolish what had been so meticulously planned (1891) & erected (1894) - some 79 years earlier. In the centre background is Block B (Clinical Services Block). In the centre-foreground is the Medical Unit (one of 2 original private suites), to the right of which is the original main entrance block (partially obscured by the tree) and Wards 11 and 12 (Maternity) are to the right.
