Born Chatham, Kent 19.08.1876    Died Wellington 8.05.1960

MRCS (Eng) LRCP (Lond) 1899, MB (Lond) 1900, MD (Lond) 1901, FRCS (Eng) 1904, FRACS 1927, FACS

Trained at Mason University College, Birmingham, and at the London Hospital.  Gold Medal for Medicine
Served as a surgeon in the South African war.

Came to NZ after the war to practice in Hawkes Bay.
Returned to the UK for postgraduate study in 1904, and on return to NZ, settled in Wellington.

Honorary Visiting Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1910-1915
WW1 service.

Awarded DSO in 1917.   DGMS NZ Forces 1919 - 1924.  Knighted in 1921

Honorary Consultant Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1925 - 1939
