Born Otago, ~ 1860 Died Wellington 25/6/1934 Educated at Otago Boys' High School, Christ's College Canterbury, Otago and Edinburgh Universities While a medical student he went as a dresser with Kitchener's army to the Soudan War MB CM (Edin) 1885 RMO, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Then studied in England and on the Continent, before coming to NZ Commenced practice as an EENT specialist in Wellington 1887 Honorary Ophthalmic Surgeon, Wellington Hospital 1890 - 1903 Boer War service In 1903, visited England & the Continent, studying EENT, 1st in London, then Rostock, Berlin, Vienna and Paris.
