Born Faversham, Kent ~ 1827    Died Adelaide 24/12/1903

Educated at St. Thomas' Hospital, where he secured many prizes.

Lecturer in Physiology and Pathology, Sydenham College, Birmingham 1853 - 1868

After taking his M.D. degree in 1856, he commenced general practice in Aston Manor, Birmingham.

District Medical Officer, Aston 1862 - 1882
Owing to failing health be moved with his family to New Zealand in 1882.

Honorary Physician, Wellington Hospital 1882-83 (succeeding Dr Collins)

In June 1884, he wrote a letter to the NZ Mail re psychological phenomena.   Correspondence in reply (July 1884) was strongly critical - on the grounds that Doctor Keyworth had presented no evidence to support his claims.  On 1/8/1884 he resigned from his Hospital post, to resume private practice.

Subsequently practised in Sumner and in Nelson

Having retired from practice, he left NZ in 1895, settling in Moonta, South Australia.
