The Therapies Service is a specialist allied health team that provides coordinated health and disability interventions within inpatient, outpatient and community setting in the Capital & Coast District Health Board region.

What do we do?
As health care professionals we are concerned with promotion, and restoration of physical, psychological, and social well being. Our health care professionals assess and diagnose problems, then plan and administer interventions. We do this by using clinical judgement based on evidence-based research and professional experience to address the problems and goals of people who access our service. Services are holistic in that they are focused on the well-being of individuals and they are provided within an integrated multidisciplinary structure. Opportunities for family, whānau and carers to participate in the service delivered are provided when appropriate and agreed on by the patient or client. The Therapies Service aims to work bi-culturally, with objectives based on the priniciples of the Treaty of Waitangi.
