Kenepuru Hospital

During normal working hours (Mon-Fri 0830 - 2000), testing is performed at Kenepuru Laboratory according to the list below. All other tests are sent to Wellington Hospital laboratory for analysis. Outside these hours, all tests are performed at Wellington Laboratory and require the requesting physician to arrange for the transport through the Kenepuru Duty Manager.

Test List

Blood gases (including electrolytes and glucose)
Electrolytes (sodium and potassium), urea, creatinine, glucose, ketones, calcium, phosphate, total protein, albumin, amylase, AST, ALT, ALP, GGT, CK, bilirubin
FBC, ESR, automated cell differential (Manual differential when necessary).
Malaria and LAP preparation.
Urine dipstix and microscopy.
