The Cancer Trust Fund
The Cancer Trust Fund provides extra facilities for cancer patients receiving treatment. It aims to promote projects and activities beneficial to patients and to sponsor education and continuing professional development of staff to advance cancer patient care.
The Clinical Research Unit
This Unit was set up in 1997 to develop high quality national and international research aimed at improving cancer treatments and finding cures for the disease.
Current research includes international investigations into prostate, breast, bowel and lung cancers as well as leukaemia.
Financing for both the Fund and Unit come from public donations.
