Our philosophy states that: “In partnership with service users and providers, the Community Alcohol and Drug Service offers specialist services for substance abuse and dependence and is committed to the development of addiction services in the Greater Wellington Region. The focus of the service is on those people with more complex needs and higher risks, using a multidisciplinary approach.”
We provide services for people aged 20 years and over, with moderate to severe alcohol and/or drug dependence who also have a coexisting disorder.
Our Alcohol and Drug Service and Detoxification Service cover the Wellington, Porirua and Kapiti areas for assessment, treatment and consultation. This is likely to involve direct contact with us. The Dual Diagnosis Service covers the Greater Wellington region for assess-ment, treatment planning and consultation only.
You are welcome to have your family/whanau, other support people or an advocate with you when you use our services.
