Awhina Wahine is Maori organization who provides counselling and support for Maori women, children and their whanau affected by rape, incest, sexual abuse and related violence. Related violence covers domestic violence, alcohol and drug issues, suicide, relationship issues etc.

Our priority is to Maori but we will no turn anyone away. If anyone comes to our service and feels comfortable with what we provide then we will continue to see them. If they are not comfortable we will refer them to the most appropriate organization.
We provide a free mobile service, meaning, if clients wish to have sessions held in their homes than we can do so.
