Maori Health Development Group

The Maori Health Development Group (MHDG) was established in December 2003 to ensure the implementation of the Maori Health Strategy Te Plan II.

MHDG spans both Planning and Funding and the Hospital and Health service functions. It is responsible for:

Championing Maori health development
Advocating on behalf of Maori
Ensuring that CCDHB remains focused on delivering appropriate health services to Maori
Funding a range of Maori Providers and providers of Maori Specific Initiatives
