Public Transport to Te Korowai Whariki

From Porirua and Johnsonville / Tawa
The No 68 Titahi Bay - Porirua Station bus stops in Prosser Street. From there, it is a 1km walk (12-15 minutes) along Raiha Street to Te Korowai Whariki. This service runs every half-hour on weekdays.

The No. 59 bus travels between Porirua Railway Station and Johnsonville Railway Station. Daytime services between 9am and 5.30pm stop at Kenepuru Hospital’s main entrance. It takes around 10 minutes to walk across the campus to Te Korowai Whariki.

From Wellington
From Wellington Hospital, you can use the free shuttle van service to Kenepuru Hospital. Click here for details.

From Wellington City, catch the Paraparaumu train service to Porirua Station, and catch a No 59 bus to Kenepuru Hospital. Then walk to Te Korowai Whariki, approximately 10 minutes.

Or get off at Kenepuru Station and walk up Raiha Street to Te Korowai Whariki’s main entrance. Walking time is approximately 15 minutes. During morning and evening peak hours, trains running between Porirua and Wellington stop at Kenepuru, however Paraparaumu – Wellington and Plimmerton – Wellington services do not.

From Kapiti
Catch the train to Porirua Station, then a No 59 bus to the stop at Kenepuru Hospital’s main entrance. Walk 10 minutes to Te Korowai Whariki.
