Public Transport to Kenepuru Hospital

From Porirua and Johnsonville / Tawa
The No. 59 bus travels between Porirua Railway Station and Johnsonville Railway Station, with daytime services between 9am and 5.30pm stopping at Kenepuru’s main entrance. Services run half-hourly, and are timed to provide a connecting service to the hospital for passengers arriving from (and departing to) Kapiti by train.

The No. 63/64 service from Cannons Creek to Porirua Station continues on to Kenepuru’s main entrance during weekday morning peak hours (5 buses each day between 6.40am and 8.40am

There is currently no evening bus service to the Hospital’s main entrance. Buses stop on Kenepuru Drive only, and passengers must walk up the hill to the hospital (around 5 minutes).

From Wellington
From Wellington Hospital, a free shuttle van service to Kenepuru Hospital departs from outside the main entrance (Atrium) on the hour, every hour from 7.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Bookings are essential, click here for details.

From Wellington City, catch the Paraparaumu train service to Porirua Station, and catch a No 59 bus to Kenepuru Hospital.

Or get off at Kenepuru Station and walk to the Hospital’s main entrance via Ambulance Drive (or via Raiha St / Hospital Drive). Walking time is approximately 10 minutes. During morning and evening peak hours, trains running between Porirua and Wellington stop at Kenepuru, however Paraparaumu – Wellington and Plimmerton – Wellington services do not.

From Kapiti
Catch the train to Porirua Station, then a No 59 bus to Kenepuru Hospital.
