Using Public Transport for Trips to C&C DHB Hospitals and Health Centres
Public transport can be a low-cost and convenient choice for your trip to a C&CDHB hospital or health centre, especially if you are travelling to Wellington Hospital as an outpatient or visitor.
Where can I find public transport information for the Wellington region?
You can phone Metlink on 0800 801 700 and one of their operatrors will help you to plan your trip.
Printed bus and train timetables, and Metlink network maps, are available from bus and rail ticket offices, Council information offices, some newsagents, and your local library.
They can also be found in wall-mounted stands inside Wellington Hospital’s main entrance foyers. At Kenepuru Community Hospital, look for timetables on the Security counter in the main foyer.

Metlink’s Online Journey Planner can generate a public transport trip plan for your travel to and from a hospital or health centre. Just enter where you are travelling from (home address), your destination, and what time you would like to arrive / depart.
