Using Your Own Style Sheets In Opera 6
This page explains how to make Opera 6 use colour and font styles you have created in your own style sheet in OS 8 and 9.
Instructions
Please note: This page assumes you have already created your own style sheet.
- Click on the 'Edit' and then click on 'Preferences...' menu as shown in Fig 1 or press 'Apple' + 'Y'.

- Click on 'Page Style' in the left-hand column or press 'Tab' until the left-hand column is selected and use the up and down arrows to select 'Page style from the list . (see Fig 2).
- Make sure the 'Page style sheets' checkboxes under both the
'Author mode' and 'User mode' are unchecked by clicking on them. (No keyboard shortcut ).
- Make sure the 'My Style sheet' checkboxes under both the
'Author mode' and 'User mode' are checked by clicking on them (have a tick in them). (No keyboard shortcut ).
- Next click on the folder icon button in under the 'My Style sheet' heading at the bottom of the page.( No keyboard shortcut ).

- This brings up a open dialog box - navigate to your style sheet and select it, in this example we have a style sheet called
'hiviz.css'.

- Click 'Open' or press 'Enter' to return to the 'Preferences' menu.
- Click the 'OK' button or press 'Enter' to return to Opera.
Note: If this does not work it could be because your computer settings cannot be changed due to local IT policies - contact your local IT support for further help.
