Making Your Computer Talk in Gnome

Introduction
The screen reader in Gnome is more sophisticated than Narrator in Windows although its functionality is still limited. The screen reader is under development and is improving with each new release.
Note: The screen reader in Gnome runs under 'Gnopernicus' which should come with the desktop. If for any reason you do not have it you can go to Building and installing/uninstalling gnopernicus for help with installation.
Instructions
To use the screen reader in Gnome versions before 2.1:
- Click on the 'Applications' menu and then click on 'Preferences' or press 'Alt' + 'F1' and then use the 'down' arrow key to highlight 'Preferences'.
