Changes to access and parking from 17 November
As part of the new hospital construction plan we will be temporarily splitting our main public car -parking into two: an upper and lower car park, each with separate entrances and exits. This is to enable the construction of a direct link between GNB and the new building.
The new car park under the building is scheduled to open mid January 2009.
How people will access and park from 17 November:
- For X-ray/Radiology, the Blood & Cancer Centre, Outpatients, ENT, Eyes & Neurology we recommend that public enter through the Riddiford Street entrance. People entering this entrance will still be able to drive through to the upper car park by exiting onto Hospital Road and entering the upper car cark through a new entrance at the current Wilson Parking exit-barriers situated near GNB. - For all other services (except Emergency Department) - we recommend the public use the upper car park to access the main entrance via Hospital Road, off Adelaide Rd. (see map below)
